A Look at Some Chinese Martial Arts

The Chinese martial arts are some of the most well known and well respected fighting styles in the world. By originating several different styles, China is a pioneer to the martial arts. Among all of the Chinese martial arts, the one known as Kung Fu is the one that is most well known. In the article below we will get a brief description at some of the other not so well known forms of the Chinese martial arts.

HSING-I martial arts: Being closely related to the Tai Chi martial arts, HSING-I martial arts are an internal style of Kung Fu. Exerting very little energy to create movements of great power by subordinating the body is what the HSING-I martial arts teach. Being a very powerful form of martial arts and well known in China, there is little known about HSING-I martial arts anywhere else. With this being the case, there are very few schools or dojos to teach HSING-I martial arts.

Looking into the history of Chinese medicine and the perceptions of Chinese nature you will find HSING-I martial arts have deep roots. Keeping in mind the five Chinese elements fire, water, metal, earth, and wood are where the blows of HSING-I derives its¢ strikes. Adapting the movements and reactions of animals into complex dance like movements similar to other forms of martial arts originated by Kung Fu is what HSING-I offers. Astounding physical skills and amazing endurance are the result of precise and arduous exercise and breathing training.

Tai Chi martial arts: Outside of China, the martial art known as Tai Chi is considered to be more of a dance. Having the body heavy state of relaxation, Tai Chi teaches movements that are very well balanced and exact by moving with slow and calm movements. While those around the stylist of Tai Chi martial arts will think that he is asleep due to the relaxation state of Tai Chi, the stylist will be fully aware and know exactly what he is doing.

Strength, flexibility, and stamina are the three attributes that the Tai Chi martial arts promote through an exercise of energy. The emotional and spiritual states of the stylist are both benefited by using the state of deep relaxation that is involved in Tai Chi. Reaching a high level of peace n their mind and body are also taught through deep states of meditation.

Throughout all of China, Kung Fu is the best known martial art, but Kung Fu originated many different forms of martial arts. Among them are the styles of the Shaolin, which in itself offers many different martial arts styles, including the system of the five animals. The system of the five animals is famous world wide is considered the most popular in China. In combat, the amazing power and destructive techniques of the system of the five animals are well known through out the world.

Endurance training and flexibility are two attributes that are aided by two great martial arts styles such as HSING-I and Tai Chi as well as Kung Fu. In order to have their spirituality and endurance achieve higher levels, many Chinese students of Kung Fu also study the martial arts of either HSING-I or Tai chi.

China is known world wide for their martial arts. Kung Fu as well as Tai chi were brought into this world by the Chinese. The Chinese are considered to be the founding fathers of the martial arts, although Japan also offers styles of martial arts of their own. The martial arts provide a means of self defense as well as a peaceful way of living that has been practiced by the Chinese for hundreds of years.
